Cotixans is my favorite drunk and post bar go to. They got alllll you want PLUS an actual seating area not like vallartas's small cold patio.

My favorite thing to get is the Carne Asada Fries BUT with adobada, extra guacamole, and nacho cheese on top with it!! Really makes it nice and piping hot! The nacho cheese really makes it
    *chefs kiss* DANK hahaha
Also they got a whole topping bar not just salsa and some jalapeños like YESSS I'll take a side of fries for my cilantro, onions, and lime thank you!

Only thing is, it does get chilly during winter and the bathroom is a little meh but you get what you pay for!

Been going here since I was a little.    Used to call them the 10lb burrito store.
Burrito size has been getting smaller and smaller.

    Still good quality.   But bummer

I miss carne asada fries so much, I absolutely had to get them on our drive up back to long beach.  This location is pretty big and has plenty of seating, plus its 24/7 yasss.

My friends and I stopped by around 6pm, and ordered way too much food, carne asada fries, a taco plate, carne asada chips, and a fish burrito.  I completely forgot how large the portions are here and we weren't able to finish at all.  The carne asada fries here are freaking delicious and after you douse the entire plate in the yummy orange hot sauce it is impossible to stop eating.  The fish tacos and burritos here are made with flaky hot and crispy fish, I usually am not a huge fan of fish at mexican restaurants but this fish was delish.  I ended up getting a surf & turf burrito to go as well.

You must come here if you are in SD or you will regret it, Cotixan and Vallartas are some of my favorite go to chains for carne asada fries and other delicousness.

I'll defend this place til it goes down.  During college, this place came in clutch so many times and probably was the biggest reason for me gaining weight in college.  For the nostalgia factor and reliability, I'm giving this place 5 stars, but on food alone it's still probably a 4.  The only thing Vallarta has on this place is the drive thru convenience and their green salad dressing sauce.  Foodwise, cotixan blows them out of the water.

California burritos and carne asada fries were definitely one of my biggest weaknesses during college.  The carne asada here is actually very flavorful, unlike Vallartas.  Their portions are also huge and their sauces are so good.  I would douse my carne asada fries in that orange salsa.  Their fries were also great and never too soggy.

I wish I could find a good California burrito in LA, but it's still a continuous search.  You'd think with LA's food prowess that they'd be able to replicate a good California burrito, but that remains to be seen.  If anyone knows of a good place in LA with California burritos, please let me know.

    - Cotixan Fries ($9.80)-- so satisfying. Generous portion. Both my husband and son loved it.
    - Carne Asada Burrito ($7.55)-- loved it! Very tasty. The portion is large. My husband and I each had half of the burrito. We both were full.

This El Cotixan location is one of our favorite places to go get Mexican food. We always enjoy our dining experience there.
